Passenger service between Neral-Aman Lodge section of Neral Matheran narrow gauge ‘toy train’, popular with tourists, will remain shut for 4 months in view of the monsoon as precautionary measure, Central Railway (CR) said on Friday.
The train which takes travellers to matheran will not operate from 8-Jun-2024 to 15-Oct-2024 for safety reasons, it said in a release.
The narrow gauge line traverses through the scenic ghat section of the Matheran, which is big tourist spot to people living nearby specially residents from Mumbai and Pune.
