BEST Bus service is planning to start Electric Cab service in Mumbai. BEST E-Cab service is going to be touch competition to existing radio cab operators like OLA and Uber. BEST Electric cab will be only offering short distance travel within the city. For long distance or intercity you still need to rely on other travel modes.
BEST will tie up with a cab agency which will be appointed through tender process.
The Agency will provide electric taxis on aggregator basis in various parts of the Mumbai City and suburbs.
Best will run the service on revenue sharing model with the agency selected in tender. Cost of cab, fuel and driver needs to be paid by the vendor selected in tender process.
Each cab will have BEST Logo for easy recognition and branding.
